Alternator

Im Just Wondering I Have A 67 Fairlane 289,, Does Is Really Matter With Amp Of Alternator I Put Right Now Its A 65 Amp But A Idle Everything Goes Dim And Weak, So Can I Put Like A 150 Amp In Cuz At Idle It Put Out Better Amps Than The 65. Do I Have To Do Any Wiring..... Thanks

any special wiring depends on the type of alternator, and there will most likly be simple instructions. you can hook up all the amps you want, and it will solve your problem of dimming. To make your life easier, make sure you pick on up that it made to bolt on to the 289.
