looking to buy 2003 used grand prix loaded except leather & sunroof.for $15,000.00 35,000 klms lease return. Is there anything I should know, any bad reports on this car?
My other choice is saving some money and getting a 1994 honda civic for $7,000.00 but has 124,000 klms very nice condition, dealer maintained. Any opinions are appreciated. |

Re: 2003 grand prix
no bad reports on the 2003....
I have 1 of my own...came off the lot with 65 miles on it and now has 18,000+ and you can say it is slightly modded no problems yet! |

Re: 2003 grand prix
Oh I think there is a recall on the rear brake line.....but mine wasnt
something about a nut that needed to be tightened or you could have a leak in the brake line |

Re: 2003 grand prix
The smaller the engine more it has to do to achieve the same amount of work. The 2003 with 35kms is a better deal than the honda with 124kms on it. That is a no brainer there.
My GP originally drawned on a huracaine and got it really cheap. Laste 79000miles before replacing tranny and engine(engine got busted because of tranny) and was strong. If the GP had not had any accidents like mine and have only 25kms on the odo it would last really a long time... |

BTW I checked your VIN with the DMV.... no record of flood damage....strange for the dealership not to report it... |

Re: 2003 grand prix
Well they sold it like it was. That is why it was so cheap. The last pieces of hardened mud were taken out when the engine and tranny were replaced. But When I first got it the A/C was blowing but almost no air coming out. When dash was taken apart it was all filled up with hardened mud. UGLY in deed

Re: 2003 grand prix
And CATZ for the record. The car has always been in Puerto Rico. I do not think that the Stateside DMV will have reports of Puerto Rico incidents. What state DMV are you querying? I got the car in Puerto Rico and the car drowned here.

And got it really cheap. That is the only reason anywone would get a car with less than 5k on the odo even that it was flooded...
