Re: tranny problems?
This sounds like your main oil pump in the tranny is not building up enough pressure. That can be caused by a number o things. But here is a good place to start. 1) visually inspect if for external leaks 2) do a pressure test on it. 3) Also hook up a scan tool to your OBD and what messages it gives. If all of those check out. Then there is a strong chance that there is a problem associated with the valve body.
Now if you have been doing a good job of keeping the ATF changed. You might have a chance of finding a good rebuilder. If not get ready to replace the tranny. Russell PS. i ain't no expert. But am in a Tranny Class at the local community college this semester. So I am sure you can find better people to answer this question. |

Re: tranny problems?
well, could be a partially plugged filter. Try changing the atf and tranny filter. The tranny does not have enough oil volume to prefill the next cylender when shifting. Now the tranny could also be in dummy mode. If the PCM detects torque convertor slippage it will up the line pressure and there will be hard shifting. Try take the battery out for about an hour, and reconnect it and see if it still shifts hard.
