Progress thread : Fet Sports R32 (Gr.A)

Finally exams are over, I have some time for me myself and modeling!

I ve wanted to make this particular car for a long time now, so I guess it's time to start.

The model I used is the Fujimi R32, as I could get it very cheaply, and it's quite up to par with the tamiya offering, and plus I did't want to fiddle with the engine.

I did some research, and everything seems to be there, only problem might be the rims, so I might have to buy the Tamiya R33 calsonic car just for the rims... we'll see. As I m planning to make it with the spokes rims.

In the meantime, the first shot, primered, not yet sanded, I know there are some lines on the bodywork which stand out!

Thanks for watching

Oli

I've got a set of the Calsonic Rims if you want them? Just send me a PM I'll throw them in the post?

Good luck with the Skyline Olivier. I'm glad there is somebody on AF who has just as many projects on the go as I do.

here's a little update of what I done sofar, cleant up the body (lotsa sanding ), inserted two little brass rings in the headlamps, so that the effect will be more realistic, I hope, and rebuilt the visible part of the exhaust with some Alu tubing, and built up a PE winscreen wiper, and made the sidemirrors accurate to the version of the car I m building.

This is about it, now it's going to receive a few coats of white...

did the decals, and clearcoated them, with no real problem whatsoever, thanks fujimi!

last shot is one to testfit the nice yellow headlamps, still have to detail the clear parts a lot, but it's looking pretty nice yet.

What do you think?

(BTW I ran out of clear so I need some more, to make it a bit more glossy)

ciao

thanks guys! , and orangeR, yeah it is the fujimi kit which with a lot of work can be made to look really nice, off course it has ( asin every fujimi kit) flaws everywhere, but most important, in the decal department...

but hey, I like the decal livery and the model itself, and I m pretty happy with the result sofar, and I hope to show you guys some more soon.

Thanks for the interest anyways

Oli
