Exclamation My WRX, tell me what you think

ROUGH DRAFT!!!
this is my 2nd attempt at a car. i am very pleased. yes its on lined paper and stuff, its a rough copy. ive started the final one on nice white paper and fixed a few things. i made the front wheel:back wheel difference a little smaller, added some contours and stuff. give me some tips guys, the final is supposed to be a xmas present. (crap) anyway, tips of all ttypes are awesome, especially some help with the hood scoop, i cant seem to get it how i like it. thanks dudes.

Re: My 2nd real drawing, 2002 WRX STi

Well, I like ir and I don't have many tips, but here are some. I would change the perspective of the tires, they seem to be more fitting for a car from a veiw closer to the side, I would work on the hood scoop, look closly at how it goes, then draw it identicly, trace if you have to. What ever will help. I find it better to draw lines where the hood gets bigger(cause of the scoop) and then darken or lighten accordingly on the final product. And the windsheild slopes down a bit more than it is supposed to, so it seems, at the far end of the car. That is about it for me...

Re: My 2nd real drawing, 2002 WRX STi

I can not really see all of it clearly but just keep working at it. I promise you will see improvement, the more you draw the better your ability to observe, percept get. One thing you could do which a lot of people do is start off with a box drawn in perspective and then draw the car (or anything for that matter! this works reaally well for most items) inside of it. It would help to keep all of your lines parallel (I hate using this method though, and it shows because my lines are almost never parallel). Hope this helps B

Re: My 2nd real drawing, 2002 WRX STi

you draw like a 3D box that is at the perspective that you want your car to be. from that you just kind of draw the car 'inside' the box. the grill will be where the front most side of the box is and the long side panels of the car have corresponding sides to the 3D box. thats prolly not a great explanation. maybe you can get the picture. some of the cars people post you can see the faint outlines of the box the erased. look for it.

P.S. I drew this WRX because i am in love with them. they are by far my favorite car. also, as a beginning drawer, i think i would just get discouraged going for a diablo or something. WRX's rule!!!
