New Guy with a pretty fast Honda

Hi y'all,

I got into this forum while looking for fast cars. Been racing on and off for about 35 years and street drive an 11 second 55 Chevy (that's on the motor BTW no blower or NOS).

I race a Honda powered Bonneville streamliner that currently holds two world land speed records and is, I think (I hope?) the world's fastest Honda powered vehicle (although the new Hondajet business aircraft is reported to go about 450 mph... but they cheat. They leave the ground on purpose).

Anyway, Hi. I've learned a few things automotive over the years, soooo, anything I can do to further enjoyment of our toys, let me know.

All the best for 2004,

Jim

Welcome to AF, good to have you .

Im Curious though, the world record for the unblown fuel streamliner that you have listed in your name is correct(G/FS) But I read the world record under your name for the unblown gas streamliner(G/GS) only says 208.911. I found this at http://www.pro-blend.com/spconst.html It could be that they forgot to update, so I dont know, just what I found.

Hey, Ilike,

I am still sorting out the car. As it is, every pass I make I set a new record, however, am currently only competing with myself. The 208 was the record I set in August 2003 beating the 19 year old 193 mark, the 254 with the same car at the October 2003 meet, see scta-bni.org click on World Finals, then results and then click on Oct 18 results.

At the salt to run Gas you have to be certified as using only their gas from their truck. ANYTHING else is Fuel. I did the "fuel" record on my own 91 octane, but the mph difference had almost nothing to do with the change in "gas". Still sorting things out.

It feels like there is around 265 mph in the car as it sits. I'm going to clean up the shape a bit over the Winter, and maybe add some mods to the motor. Basically right now the motor is 98% bone stock right out of the wrecking yard.

All the best,

Jim
