'97 Accord rear seatbelt locked

Has anybody replaced/fixed a rear seatbelt mechanism before? I am looking for advice on how to remove the interior parts to get to the seatbelt mechanism (mine locked up) without damaging anything along the way. Thanks!

It locked or pulled out too far? Seat belts have a LIFETIME warranty @ any dealer if they have not been tampered with, removed, or vehicle was involved in an accident. See what Honda says before you go messin' with it.

Jackasssi - It is locked (my daughter could not pull it out to
buckle her car seat in!) Thanks for the warranty advice. I will call the dealer today.

Re: '97 Accord rear seatbelt locked

Take the car & say that seatbelt does not work. Most likely a service advisor, service manager, or parts guy will quickly visually look @ the seatbelt & check operation. If not working they will order a new, call you when the part comes in, & install for $0.00

I can't remember the exact mileage(think 75K-105K) but there is an emission extension. Includes Oil/filter change, spark plugs, wires, & some other stuff all for FREE. While your at the dealer have them run a VIN status to check for any open recalls or FREE stuff that hasn't been completed. If you normally service @ the dealer then it should all be up to date.
