Cool Problem with Left Side Mirror

Hello my fellow Aurora Drivers, may the Holidays be one of happiness and joy. We hope your Beast (Aurora) doesnot leave stranded by the road.

OK gang, have a problem with the left side mirror, it will move up and down, but not side to side. Any ideas as to what caused this. Also, anyway to remove the mirror face plate. Is it possible to remove the mirror face plate and repair or replace the switch or motor.

Thanks

(Driving along in my Oldsmobile)

Does the right side mirror still adjust up and down? If so Id say the control switch is ok since it will control the right mirror in all directions and it must be the up-down motor in the mirror pod itself.
