exhasut size 2 1/4" or 2 1/2"

whats up

im about to get me a catback system. im think n about get n the Tsudo catback that comes in 2 1/2 " piping. The tsudo catback is a N1 style exhasut, kinda like the Apexi N1 but not quite. my car so far has AEM cold air intake, DC sports 4-1 headers, MSD ignition and an S-AFC. The car will most likely stay NA, and i heard 2 1/4 inch piping is best to stay NA cuz of the back pressure. Will the 2 1/2 inch piping of the Tsudo catback make my car loose power???

you will gain in the top end but loose in the bottom, I would go 2 1/4 so you can gain all around and only be like .5 hp shy of the 2 1/2

Yeah XSI is right, I would go 2 1/4 if your staying NA but if you plan on doing some forced induction I would go 2 1/2.

about how much do u think i'll loose in the low end? im probably gonna stick with the tsudo cuz it's pretty cheap and gives decent power and it sounds very deep. if i can find a N1 style exhaust that is 2 1/4 inch then i'll get that... i gotsta start search n...

I'm not sure, depends how much of a racer the car would be, but I don't think it would be a great amount of loss but if your serious about tuning then you should know your application and decide by that. For example if you're going for maximum top power then you may want the 2 and 1/2 or if you're track racing then you'd proably want more lower end power and go with the 2 1/4.
