My HQ project

bought this HQ ute yesterday for 500 bucks. its at my garage (at my work) atm, and im restoring it fully. pulling the current 308 out (the owner boughtit back off me) and putting a 250 back in. after that, going thourhg a big job of restoring form scrap.
haha, pulled the seats out, they were rusted to shit.. what sucks is that itll be an automatic, but thats jsut perfect at the mo, unless something else pops up in mind.
got a vn/vp v8 gear box aswell, im going through a pace of bullshitting with the mounts and points. bugger ;P
like it so far? haha what piece of shit now , but ill be updating nearly everyday

Millburra. its located 100km south of toowoomba, and its a total farm land. The guy taht owns the car used to collect them and now hes giving them away for a really cheap price. almost unbelieveable.
hes had it kept in the shed for 10 years, all covered up and well taken care of, its not even sitting on the floor, its up on planks.

i havent been there yet, but itll be excellent

omg it was so frustrating at work today. taking that whole engine+gear box out at once was easy, alltho the Crane we got fucking broke at 500kg. i dont believe that the 308+garbox was 500kg+ nope, no way. the crane is just shit. Never trust Repco!
anyway, we got the 308 out of the hq, and also got the 253 out of the other hq at the same time. the 308.. sheeze. what a bastard. i couldnt figure out how the turbo 700 gear box (vn.vp v8) wouldnt fit into the turb 400 flywheel. i kept twisting the wheel round n round, the bloody bolt threads was'nt aligned. at all. and the guy i bought the gear box off, said it would fit. i was so shitty.
after about 2 hours of trying to figure it out... i noticed, there was NOTHING wrong with it. it was fit, i must have gone high form the petrol fumes when changing the fuel pump outta the falcon. damn.
anyway, i couldnt be bothered one second, so wiht my luck and my stupidity, i asked my boss to finish the job for me (mount the gearbox with the 308), and what he did? he started using the pressure gun and bolting it from the top. next thing i know, BANG!!!!!!!!! the turbo 700 cracked 3 threads. fucking alumium piece of shit. yea. bye bye $1100. i might even have to aluminium weld it bak together. bloody shitty day.
any more suprises, im gonna sell this bitch. hoenst. ill jsut keep with my HR.

OTHER than that, things are good lol.
yes slave, i hope u get ur crx fixed soon. nothing like waiting. it sucks, get it done now
