Is this worth it?

I am going to start auto x in april and want to do some suspention mods. I already have upper strut braces front and back. What do you think of these for the bottom? Lower braces

Re: What do you think?

I dont know i read i this other forum that if you want good strut and sway bare that are functional get ones like neuspeed, obx, aerospeed, etc. But if you want to get ones for looks get the ones off ebay.

I dont know what that means. I was actually looking at them myself. I wasnty really sure i wanted someone elses opinion.
Well sorry this didnt help.

Re: Re: What do you think?

what i've heard sounds like a good idea, which is get adjustable braces, where you can set the length, you can use those to set the amount of oversteering or understeering, in combination w/ adjustable coil overs. hope that helps

Re: Re: Re: What do you think?

I don't want mine for looks. I want them to stablize my car but i'm too poor to pay $100+ for them. I just want to know if they will do the job. Some people say a strut brace is a strut brace. I just want to know if that is true or not.

some strut braces are designed to induce understeering some are designed to prevent understeering, the big thing is which kind do you want, the best for dual duty cars is neutral steering,
understeering = rear slides easy
oversteering = front slides easy
neutral = both brake free before one over the other does

the only way to get exactly what you want is to adjustable,

all will give you more stability in highspeed turns, the stiffer the better though. that just my openion though.

You're not going to be able to get a good suspension together if you're trying to do it on a budget.

My opinion is I woudln't be wasting money on little cheap-o acessories like strut bars, they aren't going to be helping you too much, hence the cheap price. I'd look in to getting a better brand of springs, something with a reputation, and possibly some stiffer spring rates. Also, you probably could really benefit from a rear sway bar (assuming your car is a DX)..
