Can I add a rear wiper to my car?

Ok, I'm really not even sure if I want to do this or not yet, but I was just wondering what I need to do this? My car is an hf so its got no wiper. I was thinking all I really need to do is get a hatch with one already, just run wires, and just get a switch for it. Do I have a blank spot in my dash where I can add the switch, and can I get an OEM switch from a dealer?

I cant speak for a rex (think there the same) but on the hatch the rear wiper control is right next to the front wipers on the steering column. And yes you could just run the wires if you found a rear lid for you car. You could also go thru all the crap and install one in you current lid but I think it would take alot of time and would be cheaper to just buy a new (used) lid.

The first thing I did to my Si was remove the rear wiper. IMO it looks bad.

heres the funny thing Hybrid1990crx is try to get a wiper and Im trying to find a hatch door with out one. Reason is that all the ones with wipers are scratched in the wiper angle I want a clean window so it doesnt look like ass when I tint the rear window.

I did this with mine, i ran the wires up to the dash and put my own switch in where those little black tabs are beside the column. I dont have the option of constant or intermitent, but its got on and off which is all that matters. her i got a pic of my switch, simple on/off.

OK cool. So what parts did you need to buy to make it work? How much did it cost for it all? And on a scale from 1-10 how easy was it to do? Pretty easy I imagine. Thanks man.

Hmmm I just had a brain storm.

If I were to get a dial similar to the dial that dims and brightens the dash lights, would I be able to control the speed of the wiper blade?

yes you could do that the only problem would be running three or four wires instread of just one And my cost was nuthing, i had the switch lying around and sum plain speaker wire that i used, took me like 15 mins to run wire 5 to fit switch and all approximatly 45 -hour. 1-10 of easyness, prolly a 2 or 3. No prob dude
