How To: Drop Spindles

this tutorial should help ne1 w/ the TFATF Supra by AMT, or a kit with a similar spindle. In some kits, u can simply flip the spindle, so the little "peg" will be at the top. In kits like the Supra, the peg is centered, so u have to make "drop spindles" its simple.

Normal Spindle
|
--- <----peg where wheel mounts.
|

DROP SPINDLE
---
|
|
peg isnt actually above the spindle, but w/o digital camera/ scanner, i cant do actual drawings or pics.

LIFT SPINDLE
|
|
---

all u have to do, is just cut the the peg off the spindle, then glue it back on the spindle at the top. simple as that.just remember, when the peg is cut and glued, it becomes weaker.

pics we need pics, this is more of a drawing of what a dropped spindle looks like than a howto.
And heres a hint- instead of just hacking off the spindle and re-gluing it which is indeed very weak and shorter to boot- hack it off and drill a small hole for a new spindle made from a styrene rod. THis will be very strong.

I also forgot to mention that there was also a good article a few months back in Scale Auto on how to drop the new Revell Integra which could be applied to just about any model

I'm very sorry, but I don't understand what you are saying. Are you saying that you made that website or somthing. I feel so dumb right now.

No not at all, but the guys who did directed me to the new link which is hosted on a different site other than tripod, for the time being they are both up but the link you have won't work when they take it down. All the same info is on the new link I gave you so bookmark it and start using that one, actually I think there are new articles on the new site that are not on the old one.
Peace
