i was wondering if anyone has installed an aftermarket fog light. i have a small rectangular piaa platinum that i want to install but was not sure how to go about it. i have a hard time doing the wiring fof the switch. i can't find the place where you thread the wiring. also, how people installed the brackets. i have the original bumper and dont' want to change it. also, i would like to be able to use it with high beams on.

if anyone has instructions or inputs, it would be greatly appreciated.

thanks in advance

As far as brackets are concerned, I have no idea (I have no fog lights, although I want some).

As for wiring, you mightwant to check this: when I was messing around with my headlights (you don't want to know) I noticed a small harness of wires on both sides. They are not connected to anything, so myguess is that the car is pre-wired at the factory for the foglights. I also have wires under the front seats, which, I guess belong to the seat warmers, although my Primera is not equipped with them. So check this out.

Hope this helps.

My P10 fog light installation story

I got the factory fogs installed by the dealer on my '96; the car was already prewired. Unfortunately the hacksaw monkey who did the install trashed my front bumper cover in the process (jagged gaps around the fogs.) Needless to say, I voiced my strong disapproval and they agreed to start all over again with a new bumper cover! That install went perfectly, except that the dimwits didn't paint the bumper cover! I got it painted, only to have it start to flake off within a few weeks! They then repainted it properly with etching primer (duh!) and it looked perfect. Then a couple of weeks later another dimwit backed into me at the gas station (grrrr...) Still, it looks better than it did after the installation hack job! And the lights still work perfectly...Cat
