Question Q. on Shift Problem

For a whole now I've been noticing a wierd sound after I shift and am letting off the clutch slowly. It sounds kind of like a chain scraping, but definitly not a grinding sound. Is something loose or dry in the shift linkage? Something wrong with a barring?

I had the same problem, then it went away. I wish I knew what it was. I was expecting my tranny to give way and just spin around under my car.

Do you hear the noise at idle in neutral?
Does the noise go away when clutch engaged?
