i have a 1990 Honda Civic SI Hatchback, it has a 1.5 liter, 4 cyl, standard transmission, i have been asking around everywhere and can't seem to find out if a 1988 Honda Accord 4dr, with the 2.0 liter, 4 cyl engine would fit with a standard transmission on it in my Honda Civic. Can anybody tell me if it can? the accord engine #PH1? I don't know the engine number to my civic.

No, it wont, different series motors and gearboxes don't match up. Your engine is a "D" series, the accords wern't. More to the point, your engine mounts wont work either. Better to get the hasport engine mounts and a Y1 or S1 tranny from a B16A powered car, then get the B20 motor from a CRV and run that. You can bolt a B16A or B18C head to the CRV to run VTEC on both intake and exhaust.
