Good 1/4 mile time for 4th gen...

I took my car to the track last week for the first time. I have a 1990 Accord LX with stock f22a motor with the basic I/H/E and AEM pulleys. I ran a 16.7, is this a good time? I think that I couple maybe get a little faster.

Most likely. Not sure about 4th gens, but the 5th gens 1/4 is close to 17...so you're probably not doing bad. You've done the basic upgrades to shave a few tenths. Won't be dramatic until you do internals or use forced induction. Know your 0-60?

My fastest time was a 17.2 all stock. So with the mods you listed 16.7 isn't bad. Good job.

Is it possible to get 12's with a 4 gen without an engine swap? Also, i did my 0-60, and it was 6 secs, is that pretty good?

well first of all how exactly did you time it? anyway 12's are possible without an engine swap. 16.7 isnt bad especially for your first time. my best f22 powered was 16.0 @ 86. mods were i/h/e/high flow cat. also little stuff like blocked off egr and the trunk was stripped along with the rear seats and passenger seat.

thats what I figured since I really dont know how else you would measure it. not sure if gtech or one of those type of things would tell you. anyway I would say thats pretty innacurate could be off by like a full second. If you want to really see how fast your car is take it to a 1/4 mile track.

Are you saying the stop watch is innacurate? Cuz i know the person's reaction time with the stopwatch has something to do with it. And also, when they decide i actually started. Actually, ya i see what your saying.
