Scratchbuilt Pocher F40LM 1/8 Scale
This build was started with the intent of building the definitive F40 and I'm using the kit as a jumping off point. Most everything in the kit will not be used and I am not using the Autograph Transkit, so it's all scratchbuilt from the Ferrari Manuals and reference I have collected. The photos should speak for themselves as to where I'm going with this build and your critiques are welcome, since there are many talented builders here. Thanks for looking and enjoy!

That frame looks stunning!!! Looking forward to more progress
![]() But I agree with Twowhellsrules, maybe you should just post the pics here. Most people come here to enjoy the pics without much clicking through other websites.. |

Re: Pocher F40 WIP
Welcome to AF! That looks like a great start to me...
Keep posting the pictures here. You'll get a lot more response if the pics are visible within the AF thread. Slightly larger wouldn't hurt, make it 800x600px. Great frame. Is it brass rod soldered together? Or painted plastic tubing? Hope to see more soon. |

Hope to see more soon.[/quote] Yes, it's brass round tubing, square tubing and round solid rod and alot of patience. Actually, I have about 30 hours in the frame so far. The basic frame is done now, but I have alot of smaller elements still to add so I'll probably double or maybe triple my time invested before it's ready for primer. BM1 |

Re: Pocher F40 WIP
Very nice - 1/8 scale, scratch-built, lots of tubing: my sort of project!
That's good going for 30 hours on the chassis - from my experience (in plastic) I usually reckon on about 1/2 hour per tube...but 917's do have a lot of tubes. Looking forward to seeing how this one develops - engine, interior, etc - and hoping to pick up a few ideas along the way. Good luck! |
