polyurethane bushings

Anyone have any experience with polyurethane bushings? With a 10 year old car some of the stock bushings are starting to go so I figured it would be a good idea to replace them all with a kit. Before I make this move I need to know a few things. How hard are these to install? I've had the pleasure of changing the front lower control arm bushings with OEM ones and it was a pain in the ass. They're in there so damn tight. The stock ruber ones have the metal on the outside while the polyurthethane have it on the inside so it seems like it might be an easy install. That brings me to wonder about the reliability, if they're not as tight wouldn't they slip out and about easier? Also is the rider harsher for daily driving? Any info appreciated, thanks.

They do make the world of difference if you want to make your car handle better. But they are a PAIN IN THE ASS to install. I had mine done by a shop, and it took them 14 hours to do with a press.

For the typical do-it yourselfer it might take you the whole weekend IF you have access to a press.

14 hours is a lot of money, lol. Any idea which part of the installation process takes all of this time? Is it the removal of the old bushing or the installation of the new one? On the ones I did without a press the installation took twice as long as the removal. With a press it seems the installation would be quick but maybe removal is hard depending on what tools are used. I've never used a press so I have no idea.

Getting them out is easy. Putting them back in can be a pain without a press or ALOT of muscle.
