want strart ever

I have a 99 silverado (4.8) i can't thank of what my problem could be. the truck want hardly startand whan it does it idles really rough. and it smokes a little and smells like gas.....................................thank you if you know what the problem could be

Try looking at your fuel pressure reglator I would bet that its leaking.

Yea, I had the same problem and it turned out to be my fuel pressure regulator and fuel pump at the same time. Get em checked asap. Be ready to spend some cash though, kinda expensive.
