I have found 2 skyline's for sale - someone help - are they legit?
I have found two Skyline's. I have the links. One is yellow and one is gray. The yellow one is a GT-SR and is about $16,500 (special June price). The gray one is a GT-T and is about $19,000. To import them it is anywhere from $600 - $1300. I want the steering wheel on the right side like it is in Japan, will they let you keep it like that? How much will it be to get it legalized? I know they have to swap the Japan VIN's for US VIN's but is that all? I know the insurance is going to be high, but this guy said the reason is, is because no insurance companies have the Skyline in their car list. So the parts would be hard to get. I will be getting it in about 2 months maybe sooner depending on how fast I get some cash. Is it worth it? Is it legit? Is is going to end up costing me over 35 grand total. I need some advice.

Ok simple. Go to the stuck threads in the US and General area on US skylines.
It is an expensive and long proposition. Your better off getting one already legalized unless you looking for something really particular.

I take the GTR's are in Japan. If so you can contact the Japanese Vehical authority, I don't know whom or how to do it but search it out, to see if the cars are not stolen.
I would suggest making contact with the sellers and get a vin number and have it run. If they are legit and you explain your concerns nicely they should be willing to co-operate in order to get the sale.

Ok say no more. Omega Skylines are dreamers. They cant comply them full stop. So even if you were to purchase through them the car would have to go through MotoRex to be complied and legalized for the US Streets. Again a quick review of the stickies I posted would have answered that.
I am not sure they can bring them in at all for that matter. I would find a post by tyndago and send him a pm. He will be able to answer it further as far as importing and such.

I read their FAQ's and The process of importing skyline's. They got their equipment earlier this month so now they can legalize skyline's, for about 7 grand.
SHIPPING: Shipping to the US has increased in price. You now get your car shipped to New West Minister, CANADA. If you want your shipped to your state instead...it will cost you anywhere from $3,500.00-$4,800.00 extra. When car arrives in Canada it will generally cost you $700.00-$1,600.00 to have the car shipped to your state and that will be arranged by you. When car arrives in Canada it will generally cost you $700.00-$1,600.00 to have the car shipped to your state and that will be arranged by you. Whole process with shipping takes 8-10 weeks on average before your car arrives. You get title and all documents for your car within 2-4 weeks after it ships. Other companies empty promises: We have had customers telling us that other companies plan to legalize their skylines in the near future and charge only $10,000.00. The reason to this is that other's planned on using our legalizing service to legalize skylines. They were going to pay our $7,000.00 fee for legalizing if that's what the car would cost to legalize and then charge you $10,000.00 and keep the rest of the money to themself. We are only going to be legalizing cars bought through us directly and nobody else will be able to use our service unless you are a customer who purchased from us. If you buy from someone else (like a person living in Japan who is selling their cars) and they told you they would legalize for you at low cost soon--don't believe them because you will be in for a bad surprise when they can't come through. Also your car will arrive in canada with no paperwork and legal documents that only an importer can get and you will loose your car to the government. We are a trusted skyline importer for two years now and america now knows it. The only 2 companies in the US who can get you a skyline is Us (OmegaSkylines) and our competitor Motorex. Even though motorex is our competition we rather have someone getting a car from them and possibly pay a little more than to have someone completely screwed over by a false company claiming to do what we can. Look at us and motorex and then choose who you want to do business with--motorex was the first and charges more usually but we are the future. If someone claims that they can get you a skyline plus legalized is telling you a story-if you want a real skyline come to us or motorex and if you want a real skyline just as described for a low price and low legalization cost then we are the importer for you. LEGALIZING (SKYLINES) :THE FUTURE OF SKYLINE LEGALIZATION AT A GREAT PRICE. We will be teamed up with 2 now made annonymous companies in the USA to legalize skylines. You will have DOT approved skylines that are 100% verified street legal through us at a substantially lower price than with Motorex who charges about $25,000.00 or more to legalize a skyline. To get an already legalized one from motorex it may cost you about $65,000.00 for a 1995 skyline and their prices may range up to about $100,000.00. We will be substantially lower. Estimated price may be less than half of Motorex's to legalize one through us. This price will be offered on skylines bought through me or my 2 companies that do legalizing only. If you have your own skyline already we can't cut you this deal-sorry. Our prices will be substantially less than motorex and you may be saving $30,000-$50,000.00 off of their prices. UPDATE: Large shipment of supplies to legalize the skylines was supposed to be here and ready by late april but there will be another delay. Only half of all of the necessary parts arrived as promised. The other order was delayed so now we are expectin to be ready to legalize your skyline by early June. Sorry for the delay again but that part is between AAD and the parts suppliers in Japan as the suppliers didn't deliver when promised. We are waiting to be on the RI list any month now. SAMPLE PRICING: 1990-1992 GT-T R-32= $12,500.00 1993-1994 GT-T R-33= $13,000.00- $14,500.00 1995-1996 GT-T R-33= $15,000.00-$18,000.00 1998 GT-T R-34= $23,000.00- $25,000.00 1991-1993 GT-R R-32= $15,000.00- $17,000.00 1994 GT-R R-32= $18,000.00- $19,000.00 1995 GT-R R-33= $25,000.00- $29,000.00 1998-1999 GT-R R-34= $65,000.00- $75,000.00 We generally dont carry V-Spec skylines because there is no power difference-they are a little heavier and therefore slower and the engine sound is more quiet (that's supposed to be the good side). They can cost $5,000-$20,000 more than the regular GT-R. |

You are a fool if you believe the BS that Omegaskylines is saying...
There have been countless number of people claiming they can legalize skylines here in the US, but the bottom line is no one has been able to actually show proof with a legalized car except Motorex. PERIOD! Ask them how many skylines they have legalized in the US and the answer will probably be ZERO... |

In your post you asked if they were legit and I gave you my opinion on Omegaskylines.
As I said, there have been a lot of people claiming they can legalize skylines, but no one except Motorex has produced the results. I have been to their website and I have read everything they said. They claim that they can legalize a car in the US, but it's not as simple as they make it sound and it takes a lot longer than you think. Sure you can give them your money and be the first, but are you willing to give them $20K without any assurance that you would receive a US legal car? |

If you want to legalize the skyline in the US, the only option is Motorex, unless Omegaskylines can prove me wrong.
Motorex charges $16K-$25K to legalize the skyline depending on the year and model. http://www.motorex.net/conversion.html As far as insurance goes, there are many insurance companies that will cover the skyline, you just need to tell them that it's a gray market vehicle and state the value. That is what they will insure it for. I have gotten quotes from Farmers, AAA, Progressive, Geico and 21st Century. I use 21st Century and I pay $1400 per year for my skyline (weekend car) and my daily driver... If you go through Motorex or RBMotoring (all their cars are legalized by Motorex), it will cost you somewhere around $35K for a R32 GTR. http://www.motorex.net/stocklist.html |

I cannot take OmegaSkylines seriously so long as their website is anything representative of their entity - horrible grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
