My 91 Handa Accord recently started leaving the door open indicator lights (5 in total) on all of the time.
Usually they go after after the car starts. All my doors and trunk are closed tightly. What does this mean? Thanks in advance. |

If I open the door they do not turn off.
All the lights turn off sometimes, this morning all is OK. Other times they never turn off after starting the car.

try leaving the doors open when you disconnect the batt. for 10 minutes then reconnect it and close your doors. Maybe they are mixed up. Also you can check and see if you door sensors are even working they should probably be a springy button thingy on the inside crease of the door right were the hindges are. open the door and try pressing them and see if the light will go off or if it is just frozen/and or electical.

I think you could also try starting the car with one door open and see what the sensor indicates

have you moved any wires lately? I know when I was putting in my fog lights and I was looking for a spot to mount my power relay, I mounted it on on of the grounds, thinking, ok, the grounds will have contact, because they are underneath and touching the body.. but to my suprise, when I started my car. the headlights only 1 worked, my wipers would turn on, and my elec. door locks would not work. so check all your grounds, and makes sure they are working properly, you might also want to check all your fuses..

When all door sensor lights are off (normal) all of the door sensor work open and closed each door including the trunk and each lamp lights and extingushes. On / Off immediately (no fading).
When When all door sensor lights are on (bad) open and close doors has no effect to any lamps. Also noticed this AM that when they finally went of this AM after driving a block or two the lights slowly faded out (strange!!!).
