98 Blazer replace starter
I need to replace the starter in my 1998 Blazer, 4wd, 4 door, LS. I've read online everything from it taking 1/2 hour, to all day. Some say the motormount has to be removed and the engine jacked up to get it out, others say that's not the case and that it's a breeze.
Who's right? How hard is it? Thanks |

Re: 98 Blazer replace starter
I have'nt done one in a while, but I remember them being a pretty simple repair. Don't forget to disconnect the battery!

Re: 98 Blazer replace starter
Chilton flat rate for 4WD starter replacement is .6 hours and add .3 if it has a skid plate, (under an hour either way).

Re: 98 Blazer replace starter
Without a lift and proper tools it will be at least double.
