Dashboard guages go crazy, then vehicle loses power and dies.

This problem is very spotty. It will occur while driving. I will hear a click or clicking sound, the guages and dials will light up and spin. This will stop and begin again, sometimes causing the vehicle to lose all power and die. I'd appreciate any help or suggestion anyone might have about this problem.

I would have the charging system tested (for free at most autoparts stores) first. A dying battery can surely cause weird symptoms.

Check all grounds on the car and the battery connections. The computer hates bad connections. The grounds on the sheet metal get dirty and need cleaning.

Mine did the same thing! it was the battery, it tested "good" but the voltage was just a tiny bit low, replaced it and it cured it!
