99 tahoe with no fuel

i'm not getting fuel to the fuel rail. when i turn the key the the relay clicks, but not giving voltage the the gray wire. so i bypassed the relay, and the fuel pump still won't kick in. pulled the tank, checked ground. its good. is there some kind of feed back loop telling it not to feed fuel that i can't find.

if you jumped out the fuel pump controling voltage devices , applied 12volts to the pump feed and no pressure then the pump in n/g.


could be if this was a hacked pump install when the OEM pump failed that the splicing done to acept the OEM wiring was poorly done.

use delphi pumps If the pump is airtex then this is also the reason it is not working.

if you run the vehicle with fuel below 1/4 mark this is quite common.

replace filter every 30-40,ooomi

Check and/or replace the ECM B fuse in the Underhood Fuse box.
