92 Camaro RS VERY HIGH IDLE! 2000 rpms
Hello to all,
My cousin just bought the above mentioned car. It idles at 2000 rpms. The Butterflies are closed and you can see a "shower" of fuel coming from the injectors. It has a very strong intake of vacuum through the main body of tbi. Sounds like a vacuum truck. Also!. The CEL/Service Engine Soon light is flashing like a strobe light. I unplugged the TPS while engine was running, no change. I unplugged what I believe to be the IAC (Long Solenoid on back side of TBI) and nothing changed. Any ideas as to where to start looking for the problem. Thank you in advance Blessings

Just pulled code with paper cliip and gave me "51" prom error. Does that help anyone direct me further?

Okay here is what I have so far:
Pulled IAC and Cleaned. Same trouble I put my finger in the hole where the air enters and idle lowered very nice. So I am assuming that the IAC circuit or solenoid is bad, Looking for check procedure for that circuit now. Oh yeah, cel is steady on now.
