Hasegawa FromA Porsche 962

I just finished this one and wanted to share it. It's the Hasegawa kit with the decals from the Tamiya FromA kit. Those decals were clearer than the kit decals. It is painted with Tamiya Chrome Yellow.

Hi Rob,

I'm glad to see you finally managed to finish this one. Looks amazing. Congrats, my friend. You should be really proud of it.

Best regards,

Re: Hasegawa FromA Porsche 962

Thanks Lesley. I am really happy with it. I am really glad that I had the Tamiya decals to use because they looked much better on the sheet. The difference on the car would have been huge. It has some flaws and now that I took some photos I see a couple of more. I'll take care of a couple of things but it looks great on my shelf and that's good enough for me.

Thanks Miguel! The right side is correct. I'm not aware of the story but the FromA cars I have seen all have the right side decal reversed. You are correct, there is no engine in this kit. The chassis is very simple and there are not many parts in the kit.

Re: Hasegawa FromA Porsche 962

Thanks Ralf. It's not up to the level of your 962's but I'll keep it.

I remember one other modification to it. I used Crazy Modeler decals on the front tires. The kit decals were way too big for the front tires. These Hasegawa kits are simple but I'd like to get more of them. They may be too simple for some builders, but for I'm happy with them. I wish they were more plentiful at a good price.
