3rd Row seat to middle?
Hi all,
Got a 2002 Grand Caravan Sport. I am wondering... The third row seat in the back. Can I remove the two middle seats and put the third row seat in their place? Seems as though the tracks would line up... Basically, if I removed the two middle seats and put the rear bench seat in there place(s), I would still be able to sit everyone and would have more storage room. Can I do this? Thanks!

From my 2005 T&C SWB Owner's Manual, page 122:
"The 3-passenger bench seat can be adjusted to any of 3 positions on its track. The bench seat may also be moved to the second seating position." On several pages both before and after the referenced one, there are lots of seating options mentioned. I believe your model's options would be similar to mine. C.B.

Gnarly. I will check the Owner's Manual. Like a dolt, I never even consulted that before asking. Sheesh. Will let you know!

I don't know about the 4th gen vans, but on my '97 there are two plastic strips behind the mid-seat mounts that you have to pull up to expose the catch bars for the rear bench seat. This is the normal configuration I use when I go camping, as it gives me room for an extra person and a place for my son to stretch out on while traveling. It also gives more legroom than the middle seats. I like to put a huge ice chest there, along with our bags of dry food, so they are easily accessible.
