2000 Montana won't start at a loss
I have a 2000 Montana 3.4L that will not start, I am 90% sure it's something to do with the fuel system but can't figure out what the problem is. I turn the key and hear the pump but there seems to be no gas getting to the motor, if I spray some gas directly into it it will turn over but then dies. First I thought it was bad gas then fuel filter but both have been addressed and still nothing. The pump seems to be working since it was pumping gas on the ground through a leak I found with the new filter connection. Please any help would be appreciated.

Need to check fuel pressure, should be 52-59psi. If you don't have a fuel pressure gauge, some parts stores have them to rent.

How do I go about checking the pressure? Where is the test port located on this van? Will I be able to get a reading if the van won't start?

The port is on the passenger side, on the fuel rail, by the p/s pump. Hook up fuel pressure gauge, turn key on, pressure should jump to specification and stay there.

Ok so we rented a gauge and the pressure tested from 58 when the pump was running to a steady 52 when it was done. Now what?
