Unhappy 87 Cherokee Larexo 4x4

I picked this cherokee up for pretty cheap but while i was making a few repairs i noticed these vacuum tubes had been sheared off. Anyone know which order they go in? To the left is the starter, back middle is the oil filter.

Im not sure what order they go in, but I CAN tell you that they appear to be the vacuum lines that control the vacuum disconnect on your front axle...does your four wheel drive work?

Thats really what they look like to me, especially given their location, you might be able to find the other ends if you look on your front axle...there should be a large vacuum motor assembly on your front axle.

The only reason you would not have such a setup is if your cherokee has a full-time 4x4 setup instead of the more common part-time setup..full-time systems were pretty rare during that era.

Search for Dana 30 front axle disconnect, and things along that line and you might find a diagram, that is of course if you verify that is where those lines go....but if I was a betting man...

Re: 87 Cherokee Larexo 4x4

Thanks for the advice. The colored lines are no more than a foot long before they connect to the from axle, but even the connector for the front axle is worn out. I will probably end up trying to order the replacement parts.

Of course, had I thought about it before I posted I would have realized that since the lines were sheared off that meant some of the original line was still in the connector. I got those pieces out and figured out where the lines went. The previous owners didn't take very good care of this car. I think some people should not be allowed to own vehicles.
