To Buy, or Not to Buy
Looking at a 1999 Dodge Stratus 2.5 v6 with around 98k/158k km up in Winnipeg Canada. Its sitting at shop needing fuel pump and tune up. What can you tell me about these cars and would it be worth the $1,350? I know nothing about this car. I know that some Dodges/Chryslers have a distributor that run in the 200-300 dollar range. But I don't remember which engine it was or what year. I remember it on the Cirrus. Tell me about this car and about what to expect for 100k mileage maintenance if it already hasn't been done.
Reason He's selling it. He cant afford the tune up or the fuel pump. Makes me worry me worry he couldn't afford general maintenance. I'm not looking at the car til i go up there. I live in Texas, Gonna buy it for a friend of mine up in Canada who knows nothing about cars. Also I've seen them with bad transmission computers... Anything else to worry about?
