1992 ram van ac problem
The AC works ok but when I accelerate the air flow changes from going through the AC vents to going through the floor vents. I saw somewhere that this may be caused by a insufficient "vacuum reservoir" but now I can't find the information.
There was even a part number for a vacuum canister to add to the system. Anyone know how to fix this? |

Re: 1992 ram van ac problem
This can be caused by either a vacuum leak or a leaking check (one-way) valve. The vacuum reservoir is hidden behind the passenger headlight. There is a vacuum line that runs from the reservoir back to the intake manifold. Inspect this vacuum line for leaks. Then look at the intake end of the vacuum line for the check valve. Remove the check valve (note the position) and blow through it. You should only be able to blow through it in one direction. If you can blow air both ways, replace the check valve.
