Anyone ever had to
set the new remotes without the chime bell. I cut my bell off since it annoyed me but now I have to set the new remotes. It says you MAY hear the chimes then go to the next step. Since it says you MAY hear it's not that critical. I did try 3 0r 4 times to no avail. But I was also in a rush. Has anyone ever set one of these without hearing a chime?

Re: Anyone ever had to
Yeah, I installed an aftermarket system with 4 times the range and a starter for the same cost as a new remote, no chime needed.

Re: Anyone ever had to
Thanks, today I actually took my time to notice that while I didn't hear a chime the seatbelt light was flashing as an indicator. I successfully programed both remotes. I removed the BCM fuse, inserted key, ACC then immediately to OFF then back to ACC, pressed both buttons for 14 secs, immediately held the two buttons on the sec remote for 14 sec and they both worked. I didn't have to open and close any doors.....Mission Accomplished.
