200 Rodeo hard brake pedal
All, it's been awhile since I have had some issue with our 2000 Rodeo until today.
Wife was driving home with the kids and hit the brake pedal and she descibes it as so " hard as concrete and slow to stop". We have no ABS light on or any other warning lights. Has anyone expierenced this before or might know what could cause this? Thanks for the help.... |

Re: 200 Rodeo hard brake pedal
I would start by checking the vacuum line to the power brake booster.

Re: 200 Rodeo hard brake pedal
all the lines are good, and the vacum holds when I pump the brakes while the engine is off, once I start the engine, the pedel returns to it's normal feel, could it be a sensor?

Re: 2000 Rodeo hard brake pedal
Here is what I have found so far.
Pulling codes:C0281,C0282 & C0276. If anyone has info about these please let me know. I also found that the right rear inner brake pad must be getting hung up, it is worn down to almost nothing while the outer has about 1/3 left on it. I had Les Schwabb do the rear brakes about 3 years ago(42K miles) and they already need to be replaced. I went 110K miles on the originals! Not too happy about that! Any info is greatly appriciated. Thanks |

Re: 2000 Rodeo hard brake pedal
Looks like you may need a brake switch and ehcu/abs module
