How's your AM station sounding?

I listen to the AM station for 10/10 "wins news" like I have for the last 20+yrs so I don't want to find an FM station for news. When it rains and my wipers are on the static comes on the radio. Also when I excelerate it causes static also on rainy days only. I have no issues when I'm on FM. I was wondering if anyone else had this issue.
