actin up when temp hit normal opperating

i have a 1988, chevy k1500 its been acting crazy off and on kinda embarassing on dates lol, but what it does when i drive bout 10-15 mins itll surge kinda like hump idle goes high and pedal is dead, sometimes it act exact opp. sometimes it runs perfect and then at 45 u hit gas to pass or accel, then engine dies but when u let off it runs smooth again. ive replaced coolant sensor and idle air o2 and put new cats on not because of sit jus to pass inspec so can go ahead and rule out, any body have this type of problem before help me

I wouldn't take a date out with that vehicle. good for taking a load of trash to the town dump.

with a vehicle this old check all the vacuum lines/pcv/distributor/ignition components. fuel fillters get plugged easy with the ethanol fuel today reacting with your metal fuel tank ..need lots of filter replacing..

as mentioned check fuel pressures with a guage ..erratic idle is usually a vacuum leak...you may have however multiple problems ....LOL ...
