93 3.1 lumina where's my heater core?
I am losing coolant, it looks like it is in engine compartment close to firewall about the middle of the dash...Am I close? I have had problems before with leaks 2X in the supply lines to the heater core...No moisture inside car, no gunk on windshield, no spraying/steaming in engine compartment, no "chocolate milk" in oil...what is left? Where else could it go. (oh yeah, resevoir seems to be holding fluid, so it is not cracked) Any help would be wonderful, 202,000+ miles!

Coolant dripping from the firewall is the condensate drain- which would also drain any coolant that leaks out of a leaky heater core. Heater core is easily accessible from under dash- remove drain pan and replace it.

Re: 93 3.1 lumina where's my heater core?
So you are saying it is a heater core leak? 2X my mechanic has taken out part of the heater supply line and spliced it to stop the leak...(using a rubber hose) I can not smell coolant or see any on my floor boards. Since you are a chevy guy, thought i would also ask about my "dog Bones" they were replaced at the same time, but now, one seems to be worn and not the other??? That Camaro of yours sounds like a jewel! Shades of my High School years! OOPs! looks like I got one too many zeros in my mileage, 202,000+

Never heard of trying to splice the heater core lines---just replace them, and/or the heater core....and be done. Evidently your splice is leaking- fix it right and fix it once.
I've never had problems with dog bone wear- ought to be easy enough to replace them.
