'59 LM Aston DBR1 paint color

Just received my Profil24 kit of the Aston Martin DBR1 and need to find the correct color paint. MCW lists a 50's racing blue-green metallic and a '60 light green metallic. Anybody know if one of these is the right color or where I might be able to find it?

Thanks,
Mike

Re: '59 LM Aston DBR1 paint color

I am currently building that very same model. Jean-Philippe Boyer told me that, in his opinion, nobody offer the correct shade of british racing green for the DBR1. So we have to make our own mix.

Not so difficult to do with all the photos available in magazines and on the web. But, no garanty to be spot on.

Keep us informed of your progress.

IMO this would be the light green:

This would be the blue-green:

I have the MCW blue-green and it's the color I would put on a DBR1.

Thanks Veyron, that's pretty much what I was guessing but just wanted some confirmation. I'll send my order in to MCW.
