[W.I.P] Pennzoil Tamiya Nissan Skyline GTR34 Test Car

I think everyone should know which model Im doing. This one,Im not going to make OOB.I'll make it to looks like a test car.Flat black and Green wheels.
Here's the box

The hood is molded to the body and this car comes with an engine. If I detail the engine but have a closed hodd will waste it.So I cut the hood out

Added pla-plate on the side

Done!

The wheels.Sprayed with Flourescent green

Together with completed disc brakes

The rear diffuser looks very 'empty'.So I decided to use pla-plate to add some 'flaps' to it.

The body I painted with primer then a few layer of Flat Black. The painted the exhaust sides with silver

Then assemble the GT-Wing

Dryfitting to see whether the wheels matches the body

For me,It looks great!
I decided to make the top carbon fibre. That one I'll make it tomorrow. So far for that.

The kit comes with an engine and a molded hood?? I thought this will only happen on a Fujimi Kit!

I used to have this kit a long time ago and I don't remember it having complete engine detail. If my memory is correct it only featured simplified detail of the bottom engine portion with intake plenum and exhaust manifold molded in. The top side had no detail. The same goes for the Tamiya JGTC Supras of the same era.

nice progress so far..

usually we call this one 'without' engine..
yes, the only visible parts are (a part of) transmission, exhaust etc..
definitely not the whole engine.. it would be superb if tamiya provide this kit with engine as on Racing Skyline R32

Re: [W.I.P] Pennzoil Tamiya Nissan Skyline GTR34 Test Car

Ohokayy.Sorry guys!I made a mistake on the engine.It..doesnt have an engine.haha.I simplified the WIPs and straight to the
complete interior,chassis and rollcages
This is how the rear diffuser looks like after adding a few 'flaps'

Interior

Carbn fibre top.I think this is the first carbon fibre material ever used here. Its actually sticker paper.A4 quality.Print carbon fibre pattern out, then spray q few layer of clear on it.So yeah, incomparable to those water slides.

And the roll cage

Ok.The rest of the completed photos will be posted in the Completed section.

Thanks for watching!
