It runs good on flat ground but when I start to go up hill it feels like I'm pulling a cement truck. Giving it gas does nothing.1983 carb. 2.8 v6 manual trans. Millage unknown, broken gauge. add your here...

did you test out the restricted exhaust which I suggested ? lets say I am correct the exhaust is restricted. the converter has melted down/clogged with carbon. first you must insure the engine is running properly. If your carb or the fuel evap/vent system is defective this can cause the new converter to be damaged by trying to consume all the unburned fuel that this defect may create. I have seen this before. looks like a glowing fire pit! |
