Ok for the past week ive been telling friends somthings wrong with my shifting. Its really rough to put into gear and somtimes it wont go and i step on the clutch like 2 times and it finally goes into the gear. There is no clicking or any wierd noises at all coming from the transmission. So what could it be?? Syncros?? or just the clutch?? Need to know soon, please help. Thanks

in all gears? or just reverse? MIne is sometimes a pay in reverse.

it has problems in perty much all gears when upshifting. 2nd is the worse because when i slow down to take corners ect. i usually downshift to second and its rough then also. its not a super big deal but when i take it to the shop il have him look at it.

i'm not sure if you have a hydrolic clutch or not, but if you do i would check the fluid, if it is low, pour some brake fluid (same stuff, infact if you walk into an auto parts stre and ask for clutch fluid you will get luaghed at) and then happy shifting, if this isnt the case, i would guess either synchos or clutch

Tranny
I'm having the same problem. Everyone I have spoken with says that the synchronizers are destroyed. They also tell me that it is much more economical to buy a good used tranny to replace it rather thatn rebuild the old one. I haven't had the money to do either yet, so I am double clutching! lol Cherry-Auto.com has the best prices on used trannies, though.

its most likely that ur going to to be empty on clutch master fluid, an that ur clutch master cylinder and slave unit are shot. its not going to be the sycros, because if u can't even get it into 1st, gear, those only help WHILE DRIVING AN SHIFTING. it's the clutch master an slave unit...u can pick up the parts for around 150 i believe online or at a shop.

if it was low clutch fluid then you'd hear mad grinding if you tried moving it into a gear if the clutch wasnt fully engaged

how long since you changed the tranny fluid/oil? if you cant remember its been too long. try some Honda MTF, GM Synchromesh (the $12/qt kind), or B&M Syncroshift. you'll need 3 quarts a 3/8" drive ratchet and a 17mm socket. its really easy to do, you dont even have to lift the car.
