98 explorer power mirrors
Can anyone tell me why my power outside mirrors don't work? have changed the control
switch and no luck, just need some help please!!!

You've likely already checked to make sure you have power at the switch you replaced. The only other thing that comes to mind is that the mirrors (at least on my 2004 Explorer ST) are collapsible (they'll fold back toward the front windows to lessen the width of the truck). I suspected that if either mirror isn't in the fully extended position, the adjustment wouldn't work, but just tried the theory on mine and the mirrors are still adjustable. Sorry.

As rait63 indicated, confirm you have power to the switch which comes in to the switch on the orange/light green wire at terminal 1. Ground for the circuit is the black wire at switch terminal 5. If there's no power relative to the switch ground, check the fuse. It should be the 7.5A mini fuse #1 in the instrument panel fuse panel. If the fuse is good, let us know all this so we can zero in further.
