Lola T70 1:12. Jo Bonnier 1968

Hi
This is the Tamiya kit of this racing icon. I did a Bonnier version from B.O.A.C. 500
in-68. The decals is custom made and some from aftermarket decals.

Thomas

Another build well done Thomas - you really have some skills - I also have this kit "motorized" version in my collection to build - does the kit come with the driver? if not where did you get it? Your detail work on the engine compartment is great - another very clean unusual build - you have posted excellent builds that others have not - Great contributions to the forum - John

Re: Lola T70 1:12. Jo Bonnier 1968

Thank you very much John!
This kit is soon re-released from Tamiya, I hope there will be more different versions
on the decal aftermarket, atleast I hope so.
The driver is not included in the kit, I took it from my sparebox, atleast the head is
from the Tamiya Matra MS11 kit, I'm not sure about the body, I,ve got a bunch of
different heads and bodys to choose from :-)

Great looking build! Currently working on one myself, plan on building actor Jim Garners' American International Racing team entry that finished 2nd at Daytona in '69. It is the newest reissue with photo-etch and turned intake trumpets. There are three versions on the decal sheet, the two new versions are for Japanese drivers, probably not of much interest to the world outside of Japan unfortunately.

Hejsan från Danmark

Great model of an iconic kit and iconic driver. I had never seen that version before with Jo Bonniers trademark yellow livery. Interesting.

Beautiful and original work. I love this car but the model requires too much space. It would be great if Tamiya did the same version in 1/24.
Sincere congratulations
Aldo
