2001 Alero 2.4 lit 4 cyl - Security light stays on

Friends,
I have a 2001 Alero 2.4 lit with 4 cylinder.
I had few times issues with security light blink and no start condition. I had to reset it by waiting 10 minutes procedure and the car will start.

Now the security light stays on all the time. I have replaced the ignition switch and cylinder both.

How do I reset the system to Normal.
I have disconnected the battery many times and the light still stays on.

Please help.

When this happened with my Alero it was the start of many electrical issues which turned out to be the BCM located under the dish. You can search the Alero discussions to see how to check this out. I was able to fix mine with electrical contact cleaner spray.

I just tried another BCM. After going through the key learn 10 minutes procedure, the car starts fine and the light is gone.

Now I have a locked radio and the airbag warning light on.

From here I can tell that the culprit is the BCM itself. I am fed up with this car.

I put back the OLD BCM and the airbag light is gone but the security light is back. I think I am going to live with that as I do not want to spend tons of $$ at this car in the dealership for programming.
If a thief steals this junk..they will do me a favour.
