Easiest Way to replace a clutch?
I have a 81 VW Vanagon Diesel with a 4 speed transmission. My clutch is going bad. When it warms up, its super hard to go into gear. Would it be easier to remove the engine or the transmission? Would I need any special tools? Any info would be great!

Generally speaking, it's easier to remove the transmission, for most vehicles out there.

Re: Easiest Way to replace a clutch?
It doesn't sound like a clutch issue... more of a hydraulic/linkage issue. If the clutch is going bad, it would slip but not cause the shifting issues you describe.
