Do they build models in Vegas?? I know they have a nice vintage and exotic car museum for the tourists.

I really don't get it...

Unless a person is going to a place where model kits are known to be cheaper, why go to all the hassle of finding a model shop in whatever town you're heading to?
Is any store in the US really going to be cheaper than ebay or far east based online store?

We have a shop called M&M hobbies near Chicago that has tons of old resin kits and transkits. They even have old Bosica kits. You can see it in person, wich is a big deal. Vegas?? I bet they don't even have a good hobby shop in town. NY, LA, CHI have some nice shops. Im sure other US cities do also. Tokyo probably has the most high end shops. Ebay is a good place to buy, but most of the good sellers are not from the far east(unless you want a brand new plastic kit or diecast sold out the backdoor).

Re: Las Vegas hobby shops

Yeah all uguys are right....nothing in vegas is gonna b cheaper than the net..not really into the classics zoom......but its just something I tend to do whenever I go to another city....at f1 last year if u recall I asked the same question about chicago...don't really go to them looking for bargains just to see the setup I guess. Srry for off topic. But what's the good show to see?.......maybe see sum exotics out there and take pics....

Well, sometimes you just have to touch the kits.
There are all kinds of cars at the Imperial Palace, you really owe it to yourself to see the collection if you like cars at all. Weekday mornings they often handout free passes out front of the casino. Exotics are all around, you'll see all sorts of cars at the valet stands on the weekends. The Winns Penske Ferrari dealership has exotics, but they do charge to look. I forget which hotel its in...

Indeed! Visit the Imperial Palace collection. They will give out free tickets at the casino and usually when you get your casino cards. There is also the Shelby American company at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, but I don't know if they have tours of their facility.

The towns of Henderson and North Las Vegas are nearby, there might be shops there as well.

So you only think Hobby shops are for finding bargain kits? I don't go to a hobby shop to find bargains as much as I like to visit them finding something that I can't find at home...doesn't need to be a kit, it might be some sort of detail part, magazine, tools, decals, perhaps an older out-of-production kit that nobody else there wants...it's fun to look for that stuff. Going to a hobby shop I don't expect bargains.
