Help with paint on the F430

Hello

I'm going to build a model of a Ferrari F430 # 99 Risi Competizione race team from the LM2007. But I do not know what shade of light green is it? Can anyone advise me? Anyone own magazine Auto Modélisme - Hors-Série 24 heures du Mans 2007 ? In the magazine it could be shown what is the color on a Ferrari.
Thank you for your help.

Try emailing Krohn Racing. I did the same thing when I was looking at a car I wanted to build. Might take a bit with racing season in full swing, but I bet you get an answer.

Re: Help with paint on the F430

I am doing the 2008 version of the same car, and I sent a mail to Krohn Racing last January about the paint.

They told me this paint is custom mixed in their paint shop, and they dont have an exact mixing formula. The paint can be a little different from race to race (I have seen both cars in person and the DP class cars usually have a little more blue in the mix).

After a lot of research, I think the best way to go is mix fluorescent green and fluorescent yellow from ZERO PAINTS.

I am building the engine and interiors now, but I´ll post some photos of the body as soon as possible.

I hope this info helps!

Re: Help with paint on the F430

By the way, here´s an interesting fact about Krohn racing Ferraris...

Since Krohn Racing has a partnership with Risi Competizione to run the F430, all their Ferraris are originally Rosso Red! The green is painted OVER the red. In fact, you can see the red paint in the edges of the hood and doors. Check out this photo:

Just in case someone wants to open the doors in the model and be 100% accurate with the paint job! LOL

Thank you all for advice and assistance. To Krohn Racing, I just wrote the answer waiting for a long time . I guess the color by color mix Zero Paints.

Re: Help with paint on the F430

I might get in trouble for saying this but just try to get a very close match from an off the shelf paint mix. This color is very unique and is instantly recognizable to the Krohn car. In my opinion it will not detract if the color is not spot on so long as its is just as bright and eye catching. Everyone will recognize it as the Krohn car.

By the way, where are you going to get the decals? I've seen a set from Patos, a slot car decal company, but I don't know about the quality. Is there another provider?

I have decals from Studio 27. In Patos started to print the ALPS printer, so that their quality had improved dramatically. Previously had problems with white paint.
