humming noise from rear at 60-70 mph

i have a 2003 stratus r/t and everytime i hit 60mph the car makes a loud annoying humming like waa waa waa waa noise and it sounds like its coming from the back beacuse people tell me its louder when sitting in the back seat. but when i go over 70 mph it quiets down.

i have drilled and slotted rotors all the way around so idk if it could be an echo? or if its the tires because one is a k106 and the other is a raptor... they are the same size but maybe it makes the car ride uneven? or maybe a bearing? any suggestions?

Re: humming noise from rear at 60-70 mph

I'm not sure what it is... My brother has a 97 stratus and it hums rather loud from the back doing over 60 to around 75. I dont think its the tires because he just got a brand new set put on. but i dont think its gonna hurt anything, but then again who knows. So if you find anything out let me know and ill do the same.

If you want to eliminate the tires being the problem, just rotate your back tires to the front. If its not the tires, the most likely you have a bearing going bad.

changed both rear hubs (wheel bearings) noise is all gone, but tires were ruined from uneven ware... couldnt tell from looking at them because all the ware was on the inside
