My boyfriend, who is a diesel mechanic, started having problems with his 2004 Durango a/c this week. The blower quit working. This is what he had to do to get it to work. Under glove box right behind fan motor there is a little plastic cover with two phillips head screws, there is a resistor in there, unscrew the resistor, pull it out, the big blue wire with the white stripe towArds the outside of the vehicle is your hotwire, it melts the terminal inside the resistor, the prong is not broke off, but its brown inside there. He wiggled that wire and the fan worked. To fix the problem get a new plug for that wiring harness that goes on the resistor, and if you have the money, buy a new resistor, if yours is burnt on that prong. It is the plug going into the resistor, the hotwire gets hot and you lose connection.
