What kind of Firebird do I have?

I received a Firebird as a birthday gift in 2006. I would like to know what the exact model is. My parents tell me it is a "1993 Limited Edition Firebird", but when I search for that I don't find anything that looks like the car. To me, it looks more like the 1991/1992 models in the images I've seen. But what about the "Limited Edition" part? It has "Screaming Chickens", I guess they're called, on different parts of the car. It originally had a "Screaming Chicken" covering the hood. It was faded when I got the car, but now it's completely gone. I'm wondering if these were all just added to a regular Firebird, and the Limited Edition bit my parents were told when they bought the car is just a story.

Warning: The car is very dirty and there are a few things that need fixed on the outside. The car sat oustide at a shop for three years (Don't want to get into that). The interior looks great, not sure why I didn't get pictures of that. There is also a "Screaming Chicken" in the interior on the passenger side below the dashboard.

Most definitely NOT a '93. It could be either a '91 or '92 (only two years with that "nose"). A look at your title (or registration card) should tell the tale...

Re: What kind of Firebird do I have?

Definately 3rd gen (82-92) and agreed, probably a 91 or 92. No f-body ever beared the designation "Limited Edition" (that I know of) with the exception of Anniversary Editions which your 'bird could be a 92 (25th anniversary), also indicative by the Ws6 style rims.

The door handle decals and keylock "screaming chicken" are nothing more than a blue light special in the autmotive section that somebody went nuts on.

I would say this car is likely a 25th Anniversary Firebird Formula.
